Reopening Guide

New Worship Times: 9:30 & 11:15 AM

After 12 weeks of online church and 6 weeks of outdoor church, we have officially reopened our building for worship. We adjusted our worship times and added an additional service in an effort to more evenly divide our attendance on Sunday mornings.

How We Are Reopening

At the end of May, Governor Pritzker moved to lift restrictions on churches after reclassifying religious activities as essential thereby giving us permission to reopen the church. We have communicated our plans to reopen with local officials and our goal now is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all who attend Restore Church. We have taken a number of steps to adopt IDPH and CDC recommendations in order to do so.

Restore Kids & Engage Student Ministry

As we reopen our building, Restore Kids, ages preschool through 5th grade, will be meeting outdoors for a VBS style church experience. The children will be divided into age appropriate groups and will be meeting on the grass area near the outdoor stage. Please check your children in at the outdoor check-in area and plan to have them wear appropriate clothing for being outside. There will be limited nursery and toddler space available inside the building. Engage Student Ministry for preteen and teenage students is currently scheduled to resume in September.

New Cleaning Procedures and Bio-Fogging

At the recommendation of our local health officials, we have greatly increased our cleaning and sanitation procedures. We will now use a disinfectant on all surfaces and touch points throughout our building that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against human coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition to our regular cleaning practices, Restore Church will now be using bio-fogging equipment to safely sterilize and eliminate germs, pathogens and potential airborne bacteria. We will be using professional strength products when bio-fogging that are used to clean health care facilities. These products are safe, organic and non-toxic.

Distancing, Hand Sanitizer and Face Masks

Seating in our sanctuary will be limited to 50% capacity with seating every other row. Overflow seating areas will also be available to create more space. There are hand sanitizing stations located throughout the building as well as complimentary face mask stations. Masks are not required to attend Restore Church but they will be available for anyone who wants one.

Respect, Love & Compassion

We want people to feel safe and at home at Restore Church. Please respect the personal space of others and avoid initiating physical contact out of love and compassion for those who may not feel comfortable with such contact at this time. We realize that everyone may have a different perspective on things but we want to come together as a church in a spirit of unity, love and compassion.

Parking Lot Radio Broadcast Still Available on 88.5 FM

We will continue to broadcast our worship experiences in our our parking lot on 88.5 FM for those that have attended Drive-In Church and would prefer to listen from their vehicle. Drive-In Church Worship Guide

CDC Requests & Reminders

Out of love for our church community, we ask that all of our team and church attendees follow the following common sense guidelines recommended by the CDC:

  • Elderly and immunocompromised residents should plan to take extra precautions.
  • Plan to stay home if you or your children are feeling sick or have had cold, cough or flu-like symptoms within the past 24 hours.
  • Avoid touching your face and cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow.
  • Please avoid congregating in foyers and lobby areas
  • Clean hands at regular intervals with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Please avoid handshaking and hugging – plan to use other non-contact methods of greeting
